>>541053767Fucked around. Finding out.
>>541053793>and China the de facto suppliers of crude oilI was under the impression they imported like 90% of their oil? I thought that was the whole point of taking out iran, it was to start choking them off for whenever WW3 kicks off.

>>541054015Im a retard. I just got that you meant they resell russian oil to bypass sanctions and shit.

>>541053767It's a problem because oil extraction has to be running continuously. >>541054785By now oil and coal imports from Russia to the EU are essentially zero, and gas in sharp decline compared to 2022, only going through the Turkish pipes, with plan of total interruption by 2027. It took several years to secure other fossil sources and boost renewable energies but it's mostly done now. Planning depended on country, Germany was trailing to secure soruces but it's been largely done by 2025. I think France had already zero Russian oil imports in 2023. Some second world slav countries took longer. Turned out the EU didn't freeze (they would enjoy some freezing right now). China could absorb a lot of the demand as an alternative but there is so much even they could do, especially since their infrastructure was not made for it, Gulf petrol is of a higher quality (althoughrestricted for now with zionist intervention), and now Russia offers unrefined liquid rock.

I always assumed that was one of their main money makers.>Gulf petrol is of a higher qualityIt sucks but I guess thats one of the biggest problems with canadian oil. >>541053689>>541053583Not true in the slightest. A couple of close by refineries were damaged over the years, that's about it. The idea that Ukraine is deep striking all Russian major oil refineries is laughable. Russia has multiple layers of drone defense lines set up all around southern russia that's overwhelmingly efffective. For e.g. it was reported that the recent drone attack in Moscow was 1 drone out of over 1200 that made it thru. While mass drone attacks initially provided Ukraine an edge, these days they're not really the a threat at all and serve more for propaganda and demoralizing purposes than strategic.
>>541055839Fuck.. Canadas like the russia of the west.. Maybe thats why I like the ruskies so much. We have the same climate, same love of booze, same raped economies.. we're nearly the same, damnit! hahahExcept it took global sanctions to fuck russia and we just fucked ourselves. Grim.

>>541055997And razor blades are widely available and the chocolate ration has increased. Eh Winston?
>>5410561541984 was about England, Gaylord.
>>541050552>what happened? The Russian gas industry is centrally planned with state ownership of the means of production, price controls, and rationing, there are shortages whenever there is a spike in demand because it's impossible to engage in rational economic calculation without the price mechanism and private ownership of the means of production. While Ukrainian drone strikes can't be helping the situation, Russia experiences gas shortages pretty much every summer during the travel season. They then blame small private gas stations for hoarding and price gouging, which makes the problem worse instead of better, since hoarding and price gouging are really just prudent saving and raising prices to accurately reflect supply and demand respectively. Russia tried to become capitalist after the fall of the Soviet Union, but the Friedmanite Chicago school economists who they invited over to get help with becoming capitalist were pretty much commies themselves.
>>541056115>1 drone out of over 1200For long range drones like that, im assuming their closer to unguided rockets or something? >>541056311>For long range drones like that, im assuming their closer to unguided rockets or something? You preload their targets and let them rip or is their a guy actually controlling it?In military terminology guidance doesn't just mean manual human guidance, an unguided rocket is one that just ignites the engine and follows whatever path Newton commands. Most long range drones, be they Russian or Ukrainian, are guided by GPS, inertial navigation systems, and things like that. They mostly do not have a human remote controlling them like the FPV drones on the front.>I know on the front lines they have the ones with spools of fiber optic cables so they cant be hackedIt isn't hacking they are worried about. All modern communications use encryption that cannot practically be decrypted, and in order to hack the control signal they'd first need to decrypt it to find out what it contains. The reason fiber optics are used is to prevent them from being jammed. Jamming can be thought of as overwhelming the control signal with much "louder" signals so the drone cannot "hear" the controller.>>541056340>About 70 percent for natural gas industries and 40 percent for liquid oil.I reread my post and realized I phrased what I said poorly. I am aware that the market is not completely state owned. The problem is that there is any state ownership at all. Even if the state just had stock in the companies this would distort the price mechanism and lead to inefficient use of resources. The greater degree of state ownership, the harder it becomes to engage in rational economic calculations.

>>541057025
>>541056851>Oh, and who buys the most Russian gas?I said oil, not gas, which is indeed around 10% as of now (it was 45% in 2021), and the planning for full stop has only been agreed last month (up to late 2027). I specifically mentioned this about gas in my previous posts. You can also see the full stop on coal (which was 50% of imports in 2021 and 0% today). >Looks like 10% from this graph.Ok it was simply a case of American education. You cannot read graphs let alone interpret data. Russian share of oil improts is pic related.

>>541057346>Have you guys unleashed anything else that wild like a crazy new type of drone? The Russians have been using jet powered Gerans lately, which aren't that crazy but are a big step up in capabilities. It also implies that they can make jet engines in huge quantities pretty cheaply.>More recently I seen you guys were testing special helicopter cannon ammo to shoot drones downI read an interesting article a while back about Russian helicopters being linked up with the larger IADS and mounted with just absolute fuckloads of MANPADS. It's more expensive than firing the cannon, but it's cheaper than other kinds of missile and with IADS integration they can see everything the radars on the ground and on planes see, and the Verba MANPADS is able to receive data from the IADS. I remember seeing an article about how a Russian helicopter shot down an absolutely huge number of drones in a single night with that configuration. I can't find the article anymore because the website I read it on has an absolutely dogshit search function.>>541057564>that sounds way easier than/actually possible instead of some type of remote take over whatever. There are a few instances where drones were remotely forced to land, so it might have happened. Like the Iranians seem to have done it with an American drone like a decade ago, although given the incompetence the US military tends to display, that drone may not have even had standard consumer grade encryption running on its control signal. Another way they can be forced to land albeit less gently is to screw with their ability to figure out what their altitude is using electronic warfare systems. There might be other methods and specific side channel attacks for different kinds of drones too, so hacking isn't totally off the table, but it will only ever be a niche thing.

The problem is that once Russia collapses it will be bought up by China. Ideally this war stops as soon as possible, by Russia retreating and giving up all territory including Crimea, and then the west uniting and protect Ukraine AND Russia, from China. The only nations that win on this war is China and India.
