No, actually. Rome had a ton of immigrants but they mostly didn’t have to worry about them and most of them were slaves. The single most prominent group of immigrants actually contributed to Rome a lot. Rome was also not a Democracy. This being overrun with brown third world animals at this scale and just rolling over to embrace it and make them full voting and office holding citizens is literally historical unprecedented.
