They have databases full of everyone's passports, driving licences, all their tax records, wage slips, birth certificates etc etc They are just ramping it up because of paranoia,Apparently EU states have started taking photographs of peoples faces at airports and passports are bio metric now,They are playing catch up against the tech companies who have been collecting this stuff for years and all the stuff they have is kept behind ridicous contracts and terms and conditions.
>>541067459It's shit and I don't believe for a second that it preserves your privacy when the whole point of this digital ID push is to deanonymize you. Still marginally better than uploading your ID and webcam video to some 3rd party israeli company that'll sell the data for profit and/or leak it to hackers, but it's a thin margin.
