Christanon here. I want to study the ((Talmud)) but it's like 26 volumes and 15,000 pages. Have books been written by scholars that get to the highlights? I know there are certain 'controversial' verses in it, if any of you want to post those, or even provide a list of which sections I should focus on reading? Same goes for Kabbala.

>>541087767There is the whole talmud in sefaria.org. best way to study talmud is by antisemetic publications, and trying to cross reference the quotes. I did that for years. Supprisingly you find most of the quotes are true, but you will find sone false ones. Curiously those false quotes in their earliest come all from couple of sources, which are all jews. Basically Jews flodded the antisemitic talmud study with false quotes so gullable antisemites would spread and normalize them amd thus Jews could go; "see, they spread lies", and try to gaslight them that way. Sefaria also gives wrong english translations so you should check the hebrew version before you make your judgement, or sometimes they leaves english translation totally out. If you see that, then you know there are some good stuff to look at. Also talmud has had many revisions through out history because of the backlash. For example for two millenia antisemites claimed Jews prayed three times a day and in those prayers they cursed the gentiles and christians. That prayer was called Birkat haMinim, but the jews denied it and sited talmud to refure the claims, and yet many converted jews through out history would claim they still did. In Cairo Geniza the earliest Jewish manuscripts were found, and among them was the Birkat haMinim prayer, and in it it says the following:>For the apostates (meshumaddim) let there be no hope, and uproot the kingdom of arrogance (malkhut zadon), speedily and in our days. So I could easily just open it up and choose and be careful of the formatting and feed it back into mine? They have talmud studies and ritual murder investigation books from 1800-, 1900-, and early 2000 century. Most of those books site jewish literacy. The problem is that most of those books translate hebrew to french germany or slavic, and those are translated to english. And in 1800's hebrew words werent standardized or properly established like they were today. So there is multilayer of misscommunication of some quote or book's name. Some books can be found with completely different names today then the author had given then. There are some sources that there are no english translation on the entire internet, but there are hints that those books exists. Then there are complete ghost books. I dont believe the books and quotes were invented, as the whole book with other quotes are checked and real. Yet, the only search results cone back to that book.
