I think Israel deliberately pushed Muslims into Europe, with the Libyan and Syrian wars. The intent was multi-faceted.1) Helps clear out territories they expect to occupy (palestine, syria)2) Helps force the diaspora jews back to Israel, thus fulfilling the mandate of zionism3) Creates a "jew vs muslim" dichotomy in European discourse. Whereas previously such issues could be ignored, now they are forced to take a position: Get buttraped by Muslims, or support Israel.4) Weakens Europe, especially in the longterm. Meanwhile Israel will expand and become powerful. I do blame Israel and Bibi for this. I don't think he's some ally of Western civilization. Problem is just that we don't have a single source for any direct evidence. Muslims likely received a lot of help from Jews for the conquest, and Jews also later helped the Muslims with administration of government and academic pursuits so the upper class Muslims had an interest to keep good relations with Jews. Thus the legend of the Jews opening the gates probably appeared that way. Christians also could have likely started the legend to blame the Jews, and spread it to the Muslims who would see it in a good light.
