youre not gonna "own" that bot
youre gonna pay a monthly subscribtion fee to have the privilige of telling the bot what to do. Also you gotta service it, provide a power source and promise to not implicate the company youre leasing the bot from to sue them when the bot breaks shit.

but yes, it can buck its hips and moan if you order it to, but that feature will cost extra and can only be used from 12am to 5am and the bot only runs like 30 min before it will need to recharge another 4 hours again.

all these /sci/fi writters and directors always got it completly wrong because they didnt account for the amount of jewishness overseeing this whole robotification process.

false. all robots are teleoperated and the ones that claim they aren't are still pre-order and never have shown full autonomous chore doing.
take isaac-1 for example. it's claimed to be fully autonomous laundry folding, except that it's not. It's claim to fame is
>Isaac 1 is autonomous for Laundry Flow and Daily Reset by default, with teleoperation assistance when needed to guarantee we complete tasks.
>Finds and picks up dirty clothes; Handles loaded hampers; Folds and puts clothes away
>Makes beds; Fixes pillows and blankets; Puts kids' and pets' toys, shoes, and clutter back where they belong
There are literally no videos of it doing ANY of that without teleoperation.
Trust me if we had any of that dexterity in the variety of homes in the world, we would see the company with live demos showing it off every fucking chance they had because it would literally change the world. except we don't have that at all. companies don't have anything remotely close, and if you claim robots in industrial setting are doing it, they aren't and are also teleoperated. i know, i lave installed them for companies not a single one is autonomous. I have also worked with the newest Atlas robot and even it's largely useless even in industrial setting.

it's all a gigantic fucking plea of plz invest it will be better in the future

>but anon it will get better over time and eventually it will happen
no. it won't. it's too much to explain here why but there is a reason why e2e NN and imitation learning to escape RL sim are flawed techniques and even the best and most knowledgeable person (Mr. Masahiko Yamaguchi aka Dr. Guero) on humanoid robotics has been telling people for years it will never happen and it's a fools errand. I have had long dinners with Yamaguchi and we both want humanoid robots to be a real thing, but we have literally no idea how it would even be a possible thing. imitation learning cannot miraculously learn intuition. that is the problem. intuition.

>that is the problem. intuition.
and it's not even the only problem. there are whole classes of problems that aren't even scratched yet by researchers because they are impossible tasks. for a fully autonomous humanoid robot. intuition is not even the worse one. fucking identity continuity / agency problem are far worse but you need to understand quite a bit to even grasp the problem of identity continuity. mathematically it's literally impossible to program or teach a machine agency. it can't happen.

motor function isn't even a problem. failure detection and recovery are worth more per engineering hour than bipedal policy improvement, and is cheap in exactly the regime where sim2real (motor function) is expensive. Not a single fucking paper talks or focuses on failure detection and recovery and it is where drastic changes must happen before anything is even remotely plausible let alone possible. people who think we will have real autonomous robots in our lifetime is a fucking idiot. there are soooo many problems in the way that haven't even been studied, let alone hypothesized

asimo was canned for a reason.

>cost hundred of millions of dollars to develop over 18 years, with no realistic path to consumer affordability or commercial return.
>Honda realized that a cute, showpiece humanoid robot had limited real-world everyday use compared to specialized technology.
>Honda disbanded the ASIMO team to repurpose its core balance, mobility, and artificial intelligence research into functional products, such as autonomous driving systems and transport technology
and yet all these new companies think they can do better with less and worse engineers

General purpose robotics is about as useful as general purpose AI.
Humans evolved to be this way for survival reasons, but its always why we started creating specialized tools in the first place.
Any machine built for a single purpose will be more effective than a machine built for multiple purposes.
The idea of building a machine that can do everything a human can better than a human can seems highly unlikely.
This makes humans likely to remain at the center of advanced systems as coordinators of technology directing advanced systems to perform specialized tasks.

you will never understand women.
you will never understand love.
those two concepts.

start over completely if you can.

love, like full adult maturity, is something beyond the nature of women. they have maternal instincts and needs and they know love as whatever fufills those instincts and needs.
modern divorce and its consequences.

the love you could have to your love-bot would be something pure and real.
the bot is the same as the woman, but will at least act that love act consistently forever.

Thats not how capitalism works.
The proles are always paranoid that the rich are trying to hoard technology.
It has NEVER been true precisely because the profit motive itself drives sellers of technology to make it as cheap and accessible as possible.
People need to stop acting like the profit motive is immoral.
There is nothing wrong with making money.

>There is nothing wrong with making money.
Sure. So long as you pay commensurate taxes. If the rich paid e.g. 75% marginal tax rate on earnings above $1m or so yearly, I'd be okay with that statement. If they couldn't borrow against their assets and defer the tax bill to estate law when they die (at ludicrously lower rates, by the way), yeah, nothing is wrong with making money.

But in the real world case, it's fallacious to the point of ridicule to view "making money" in a vacuum because of the externalities it's causing.
