I’ll bite. Is there one group which rules the world? Sort of. They all want to keep their power and get more of it. So in a way they are all “one” in worshipping the same thing. It’s part of that deep mythological archetype of man trying to become God. Is this group secret? Again sort of. The end goal isn’t. It breaks down into competing philosophic and actual families. Are the identities of the members of these families secret? There are public and private persons. The public ones are the ones that get media attention and thus get consent of the people (and can move historical processes faster). The private ones stay out of the media so have less “charge”.
