Main issue with ADHD is actually memory, basically, any task you are given, even if you write it down, has like a 20% chance of being done, because your mind is filled with so many different thoughts all the time that any memory of anything gets drowned out very quickly.
ADHD meds suck ass as well. Methylphenidate and Dex cause quite a lot of heart strain, make you sweat like crazy and you shed a lot of hair to the point you get bald patches, meanwhile non-stimulant meds wreck your dick and make you incontinent. When I did tritation of Atomoxetine, I literally was leaking piss like a eunich non stop.

The cause of ADHD is that the part of the brain that normally tags tasks, that provide even a modicum of reward, as worth doing, is fucked. If you have an ADHD, the sense of reward from tasks the brain has learned to do in the past is greater than the reward you get from completing the task on subsequent times, and because the reward from repetitions is lower than the expected reward, the dumbass circuitry tags the task as less worth doing in the future.

This causes a diminishing return on feeling rewarded for doing tasks until the brain decides to just avoid doing that task completely, and just sits idle until something new comes up, because the circuitry for learning new stuff bypasses the "is this worth doing?" circuitry completely.

Someone with ADHD has a shit memory because dopamine that is supposed to signal that a task was worth doing is low, so a memory is not formed at all for things that the brain doesn't consider worth keeping a record for.
