Without any new machines from ASML, China could still get by with their DUV machines. Now that will come to a halt as ASML won't be able to sell the maintenance parts for these machines to China making them super expensive sculptures that they can only look at. All of China's domestic chip manufacturing is done on ASML machines. Every thing stops and China is then at the mercy of the west, taiwan and korea for chips. But the bill even limits taiwan and korea from sending advanced chips to china.If this bill passes, its lights out unless china can pull off some miracle and make their own chip making equipment and fast (very much unlikely).
