Begin today. Every journey begins with a first step. Why does your life have to match other people's schedule? You can do all of these if you want to do them. It will take your time and your energy to do them. But they are doable. What are you doing today that is getting you closer to your goal? And always remember, if it was easy everyone would do it.
Saying it isn't the same as doing it What are you doing today

>>541162835Yes to everything except bouldering, that shit is hard and if you haven't trained for it when young then it's pretty much game over.Oh and also 3 children, that depends on GF and it gets harder every year.
>>541162835>Is this still doable at my age?No. There is literally nothing you can do to improve yourself or your situation. You're a helpless victim of circumstances completely beyond your control. Everything is hopeless, the world is rigged against you, you should just give up on life and get angry on social media until you finally can't take any more than just off yourself. And whatever you do, don't talk to women IRL.

All of them. I don’t know why you guys do this to yourselves. In what universe were you going to be successful at all these things? Was your dad an emerald mining magnate in South Africa who paid your way into an Ivy? No? Then you had to wander the desert for a while until you got some direction. That’s just how it is. At 26, you’re young enough for your entire adult legacy to still be wide open. My advice is to pick a career, take it seriously NOW, and try to establish yourself in it by 30. If you can be in a good career at 30 you can be highly accomplished in it by 40 or 50, spend some free time networking, cultivate a hobby or two, and all the other stuff will come as a consequence. For 99.99% of people alive that is literally as good as it’s going to get. The tricky part is deciding and getting moving. And if you genuinely have no fucking clue then just join the military or something because that service will never be held against you and they will always pay for your retraining into another career. Hell, at 26 it’s still possible for you to climb the ranks to be a general ffs. By the time you’re 30 that door has closed if you’re not in already because that’s a career with very rigid hierarchy. So if that’s still open to you almost everything still is. So just get moving and all of this stuff is still realistic.

What you should understand OP is that in any field, workplace, or whatever, there will be a high percentage of people who are just coasting. By having a depressing backstory, and the need to "catch up", you already have the motivation to work fast and focused, which is an advantage. Planning ahead is a good strategy, and again sets you apart. If you really want something, and are moving in that direction, really the sky is the limit. By 29 you could have a gf, be a newly-graduated guy with a solid degree, and the rest can figure itself out. Having direction, purpose and will are pretty much the cheat codes to getting a life sorted.

>>541162835 >being good at cooking >being good at bouldering >being good at playing piano What do you mean by "good"? Not sure about cooking and bouldering, probably takes you a few hundred hours each. But it takes at least 6000-8000 hours to truly master a musical instrument, especially the piano. 6000 hours means one hour of practice every single day of your life for the next 16 years. >friends You've missed the boat. You can make feeble "acquaintances" after age 25, but you can no longer form a real, long lasting friendship, possibly the cut-off age is even lower, maybe even 20. And it only gets harder to make new connections as you get older. For true bonding you need proximity, repeated unplanned interactions, and a setting that encourages people to let their guard down and confide in each other. This is why people meet their lifelong friends in elementary, high school or college. Research found that starting at age 25, we lose more friends than we make each year. In the professional world, "proximity" is hard to maintain, as work colleagues are reassigned or move on to new jobs. The workplace is a rather anonymous, superficial and competitive environment, so people usually hide personal details, vulnerabilities and quirks from colleagues. Once people start getting into serious long-term relationships in their 20s, the challenges only increase. Making friends with couples is like matchmaking for two. Children complicate things much more. Suddenly, you are surrounded by a new circle of parent "friends", but the emotional ties can be tenuous at best. You meet them because both of your children are friends, not you adults. Even when parent friends develop a bond, the resulting "friendships" can be fleeting and subject to the whims of the children themselves. And good luck if you remain childless, you have a good chance of losing your parent friend over the years as your daily routines grow to be vastly different.

>>541164426Yeah i can say i am at relative peace but i got burned really really bad from a crush i had/have that i finally put away this year after more than a decade of waiting, now that is lunacy. It is really worse than before because there's no way for corrective domestic violence and being permanently nurturing is null when girls can feel bored anyways and look on the internet for dick. Also some good ones get culture trapped and becomes lesbos. What oldfags mentioned about 30yos becoming wizards i think is related to mental clarity and just working on yourself, i got that, but i still don't get how they overcame this biological anguish of trying to find a partner to knock up and raise little clones of both.Lurking in their old places i think the "sane" ones could never overcome that feeling, they are forever frustrated with most of society being banal about relationships, and those who aren't already found a partner very early on, i got friends who married their elementary school girlfriends, it is not that rare here.

>>541165007>nooo im not old my body isnt falling apart yetyikes
>>541165012 After 25, people also often experience internal shifts in how they approach friendship. Self-discovery gives way to self-knowledge, so you become pickier about whom you surround yourself with. Good luck if you or your friend moves to another place - Studies showed that if friends live more than 10 km apart, maintaining the relationship relies heavily on digital communication and physical separation can contribute to weakening or dissolving the relationship over time. I think also a big hurdle is that after age 30 people concentrate more on maintaining their existing friendships than forming new ones. So even for childhood friends, the potential for detachment after age 25 grows, that means you have to work for the friendship to stay intact. You can intentionally force yourselve into the other's life, or you will slowly fade out of it.

>>541165087>you can even do this while still working, easyNot always, college here is adult daycare and attendance roll calls literally have more value than exams and assignments. Virtual/remote classes require video call attendance too, you cannot do stuff on your own time and those virtual classes were only an exception in the pandemic, before that they were prohibited by vast majority of schools.Doesn't help that due to the daycare and professor scam doctrine of it all most colleges will bloat degrees, back in my day i had 7 subjects a week, nowadays it's 9 and if you study a language then it's 10, if you do social service it's 11 subjects. If you work then it's game over sooner or later or you will take 7-8 years to finish. I was appalled to read that in the US sometimes they only have 1 subject for a month or so, that shit is easy, i had to juggle 5 to 6 different homeworks. Mentally I am leaps and bounds ahead of where I was at 26>It would be totally possible to be sitting at my parents' house in my HS bedroom playing vidya from 2004, but what kind of shitty life would that be?it all depends on what the individual wants out of life. I'm sure most people would be depressed with that lifestyle, but then there are monks who live a lifestyle that most would scoff at too, its all relative. Someone could see your life of spending 2hrs per day commuting to an office with barely any free time to yourself as hell on earth. Some people are just geared for leisure. Some people can lounge all day every day without any issues to explain as to why. Most people are shit, so its honestly preferable to stay to oneself most of the time anyway. For me, almost nothing outside is fun. I go to the gym 5x per week with a few friends and stop at the grocery store once per week. I have no desire to party or go to bars which I did as a teenager and early 20s, I have no desire to make new friends given everyone is so fucked up, I have no desire to go out and do anything. Its all so purposeless and retarded. I cannot socialize for the sake of it, for example. Those aren't friends and they'll be gone like dust in the wind at the slightest inconvenience. A true friend will visit you in jail, regardless of what you've done.
>>541168066>actual advice>get a degree>translation: kys faggot
>>541167991>little regard to them as it has no culture regarding cuisine as an artNigger, your country's "chefs" sell tacos out of unsensitized carts. How many Michelin stars does Mexico have compared to the US?
>>541168066>getting a good job, and getting the fuck out of your parent's housethis, hell even flipping burgers and having 3 roomates is far far better>>541168098not the case at all, in uni all ages blendin my friend group we had 19 year old and 25 year olds because the goal you are all there for in the same>A true friend will visit you in jail, regardless of what you've done.even for pedophilia and rape? lmao no
>>541162958Getting a gf now is pretty hard. I don’t remember the dating market being this hard 7 years ago. I can land a date time to time, but nothing sticks for whatever reason, just a few dates and they decide I am no good, and it’s on to the next disappointment.
>>541168076outsourcing, insourcing or ai?
>>541166044Kek just wait till you have kids and try to keep up with them when your 40. Ya millennials complaining about joint pain at 36 is cringe if they never did sports or dont raise kids. But this notion you'll be forever young and in good shape because you didn't smoke and you exercise everyday is the same delusion foids have when they're about to hit the wall
>>541168066waste another few years on degree? this nigger needs a certificate and a job
>>541162835Yes. I got my degree at like 25 no shame really. There were some older people and a lot around my age. At 26 youre brain is probably better developed than the fresh out of high school kids anyways so you should do fine. Im 31 now, 2 cars wife. No home yet but that one is easy if both you and your wife work for a few years and suffer a bit. Get to school and find yourself a good girl. Good luck dude.
>>541162835>. I am hitting college this fall. I just want a normal life. Is this still doable at my ageHow do you not view it as a blatant insecurity. Your life is your life. Nobody else gets to experience it. Live it the way you want.
>>541167961>and once you get a jobYou don't get a job, that's the quirkiness of college, you get paid by experience and perhaps a paper but not for the paper itself. That's our conundrum, firms will ask for degree but will pay according to experience, if you have no experience but a good degree you will get paid minimum wage, if you have tons of experience you will get hired as an outsource eventual, 3-month contract and then off you go because you don't have a degree. If you don't have a degree nor experience you might get employed as minimum wage, so what was the point of a degree. And that's why everyone between 18-35 is an Uber/DiDi driver or flipping smash burgers, if woman then putting nails or being a receptionist, or marrying some social networking master if she's cute.>i think its everywhere like this anonBut you need at least a couple of them to do work to justify the subsidies, our local college's physics and mathematics area has around 50 full-time investigators and they haven't released a single fucking paper in 9 years, and have only given support to other areas of the school 3 times since the 2015's report. Meaning they were given investigator status and wage raise but have only worked as part-time professors. I can make it make sense because i know they actually are unionized members affiliated with the federal government's party and are in charge of directing/redirecting union strikes and election processes but come on, sometimes i want to go full McVeight on them but i remember he was also a glowie and not an independent loonie so i settle down.
You can do all of that if you get your shit together. You wont' thou. You just want to be handed success. Like a nigger and women.
>>541168444its genetics, first and foremost, anon, then its your lifestyle. My longevity genetics are top tier and my lifestyle is as well. My father is 60 and and still works construction all day every day and loves it - hes leaner and more muscular than than the vast majority of 20 year olds let alone 30 year olds. Tom Brady was winning superbowls at 40+. You're also saying the exact same thing to me that 30 year olds used to say when I was 20. When I'm 40 someone else will move the goalpost>wait til your 50!
>>541168195>your country's "chefs" sell tacos out of unsensitized cartsAnd many other countries' chefs fold rice and flatbread with their bare hands on a single work table shack, your argument is irrelevant>How many Michelin stars does Mexico have compared to the US?That's the point, social networking and being a jew/golem is more important than knowing how to cook. Look at the popular food categories and prizes in the US, we and south asians always win over your people because you simply don't know how to cook, you don't respect the processes or ideas behind food, you are like abbos burning a bush and eating what falls down except with fancier tools and machines.
>>541162835you can get it all king just keep going
>>541163060Based and the world is vast. Don't fit the mold. It is your life. You are the mold.
>>541162835I had a NEET friend in his mid 30s go through this and find success.26 is no where near too late, you just need to buckle down and actually commit to it.
>>541163869ALL QUIET ON THE FRONTAL LOBE
>>541168098>you guys have almost nothing in commonWe watch the same football matches, drink and eat the same food, lived in the same neighborhood, worked in the same place and consume the same tv shows and games. All superficial but gives place to deeper conversations, i find odd how you cannot see this. That guy would def visit me in jail if i was there, and i would stake my liberty if he was in trouble.>>541168321>not pen-palling your serial rapist friendYou ain't a true one
>>541162835>26>in Austriaall of these are very possible. You're living in one of the top coddling states in the world (which is probably part of the problem)of course nothing of this will happen until you make a first step to everything. buy a keyboard, try following an online recipe, try getting low skill job and so onthey're all first steps to a million step journey. You can't skip it to the finish
>>541168742>compares himself to tom Brady Kek so where's your superb owl rings?
>>541169132are you retarded? How the FUCK was that your takeaway from what I wrote? The point is some people age like shit and some people age much more gracefully due to genetics and lifestyle. Tom Brady was just one well known example. Actually kill yourself
>>541170008You won't know how you will age until it happens. You mentioned your dad at 60 Mine worked as a contractor till he was 70. That life caught up with him at 80. You brought up tom Brady. For all we know hell be a drooling retard in a few years from concussions. You have a foids way of thinking that all you have to do is check off boxes and you'll always be healthy. Life doesnt work that way
>>541162835All of those things. >>541162958Home is still achievable IMO. But there is a question if you actually want to do this, real estate is not necessarily a good investment, it's a lifestyle choice. You could easily own a home out in the sticks, even in Western Europe a lot of these properties are affordable, they're just not near good jobs. >>541166965AI in its current form, based on large language models will never replace human decision making. All white collar fields will get more competitive to some degree, as AI tools may end up allowing individuals to be more productive/take on more clients but AI isn't even a net labor saving technology at this point in most specialized white collar work. It just allows people to run with lazier/sloppier workflows that most clients won't notice until it inevitably breaks something. Then there's a massive investigation that uncovers huge systemic issues across entire timespans of work generated by someone who doesn't even understand their outputs. Seen it play out several times now, both in codebases and in legal/regulatory contexts. It's better than retard/low skill workers but it's not better than an experienced specialist. But it allows low skill people to pretend to be higher skilled than they are, and by the time it's caught they may have years of 'experience'. >>541168342It's not hard, it's just random. I know incels who make six figures and broke ugly fucks who have a broad at all times.
>>541170426>That life caught up with him at 80of course, however when you DON'T work that type of job AND you have the longevity genetics. I said genetics and lifestyle combined. The overarching point is that there are loads of people who are prematurely aging like abject shit and those people are going to be in a world of pain because they already are. I would much rather live youthfully all my life until sudden disaster at 80 versus living in pain already at 30. Not even comparable.
>>541162835>college degree in accountingI started college at 24 (was a zogbot before)>carUsed car, yes>homeI dunno, maybe, I bought my house at 30, but that was like a decade ago. Depends where you live honestly.>friendsLol I am well liked and am active in my community and gym, I don't have any actual friends though and dislike spending time with most people>girlfriendHad SHIT tons at 26, could still pull 20 somethings as a 40 because I look young (often mistaken for 28/29) and stayed really fit.>eventually 3 childrenYes, you can do that still, kids are cheaper than people think, and a stay at home wife is honestly cheaper than a working wife early in the childs life>being good at boulderingI got really into MMA at 25, but was a HS athlete and wrestler, as well as combat arms SOF zogbot, so mileage may vary. Bouldering shouldn't be hard to get into.>being good at playing pianoProbably not super great starting at that age, but I learned guitar at 25ish, am not great and don't even play anymore.>being good at cookingCooking is easy af bro, yes, you can do it at any age.
>>541168621> our local college's physics and mathematics area has around 50 full-time investigators and they haven't released a single fucking paper in 9 years, anon i am sure that without their academic tenure and high paying salary in comparison to the rest of the society of mexico that one paper 9 years ago wouldnt have been possible>But you need at least a couple of them to do work to justify the subsidies, its weird, once you become a professor you are set, the ones doing most the work are the miserable slaves that hope to one day become themselves professors (which they wont because its a nepotism thing)
>>541171617Those retarded academic niggers just make up shit to get grants and never follow through on delivering anything useful anyways. They're all just scared, weak, midwits afraid of being found out.I fucking hate them all and want to adjustment day their asses.t. work in adjacent space
>>541171740>I fucking hate them all and want to adjustment day their asses.amen brothawe need to employ the british tabloid chuddies that wrote all those articles on the cambridge nigga to start uncovering the academic scum that are being state funded
>>541162835At 26 I did not have:>college degree>car>home>friends>eventually 3 children>being good at bouldering>being good at playing piano>being good at cookingI did have:>a gfAt 38 I currently have:>car>home>friends>wife>2 children. May have a 3rd>being good at cookingI do note have:>college degree>being good at bouldering>being good at playing pianoI am ok with not having those. Your most important asset in life is not time, its speed. Stop thinking about things and start doing things. If you don't have speed then you will lose time as a consequence. If you aren't thinking about your future, you will be thinking a lot about your past.
>>541162958>>home >In western nations? Noyou can if you go outside a major city. Probably not your dream home, but it's possible.
Yes, and one post by this I.D.//thread///
