The Indian police are going to ask for such a large bribe to even begin the investigation that it's not worth it. And even if they pay, the non-functional Indian justice system can take 5-10 years for a trial to complete. And at the end of it all, what will they get? The net worth of an Indian software developer? Western corporations are going to learn very quickly that it's not worth doing business in India because contracts cannot be enforced.
