He was wrong. Wrong about nearly everything. Hitler was not building a nation, he was constructing a personal army with a state which he could command to conquer more and more subjects for him to rule over. All the talk about race, Jews, Soviets, capitalism were mere tools to promise a brighter future to a defeated nation and then scare them into total submission to later use for personal ambitions. Germans were just pawns in his game, which he utilized and then discarded when they stopped being useful to him at the end of the war. Nothing he did was done for the people - to him they were a resource that could first increase economic output to construct tanks, then manufacture cogs for his war machine and then ultimately become disposal cogs in it themselves.Right-wingers cling to his image and name only because most are into Nazism for its aesthetics and not the actual ideas behind the ideology. This self-association with SS officers in Hugo Boss uniforms feeds their ego and lets them participate in a power fantasy roleplay to compensate for the lack of power they have in real life. That's the sole reason why they cannot let go off Hitler, swastika and other attributes of Nazism. The irony is - all of this religious clinging to the Nazi stuff ultimately serves to damage the very ideas they claim to represent, because any connection to Hitler is an ultimate taboo which would scare away many potential sympathizers and will make it easier for the opponents of the movement to discredit it publicly. But to them all of this is acceptable as long as they can continue indulging in this Nazi roleplay and imagine themselves riding Panzer tanks into battle. Like with almost every ideology, first it comes as a tragedy and then recreates itself as a farce. Right now the right-wing is going through the latter stage.

So of course hes a source of inspiration for anyone wanting to do the same. He has literally also become the devil whereby he represents the ultimate evil. Supporting Hitler weakens this paradigm.
