Why is Israel associated with being "promised"? I occasionally hear "the promise" and it's usually in context of Israel. Could someone clarify for me?

The main argument for Israel's existence beyond "it keeps the Muslims busy seething and gives us an outlet for certain spending" is that they are the original tribe and were promised that land in scripture. It's a doomsday cult though, they're deliberately trying to trigger Armageddon and have been taking steps to force it.
Personally, I don't think you can trick God into moving up the schedule by intentionally doing things that were supposed to be supernatural signs, but these are the same people who think they can offload all their sins onto a chicken and then send it off to be punished in their stead.

Fairy tale belief that actually goes against their own scriptures.
Even in the toric tradition it's the Moshiac on return who guides Jews back to the levant. It's not meant to be taken by force.
But hey, these are the same people who come up with ways to trick god and his requirements during shabbat

But do you think all the Israelis are like that their religion book teaches? I personally don't, the logic is that I'm Christian and my family is Christian but i don't follow the bible in a way of doing exactly how it's written in there. Therefore i assume there are good people in Israel too. I've come up with those thoughts because of recent Israel kinda hatewave and i wanted to clarify for myself, what is truth and what is not.

I mean llms are owned by corporations and can be biased. I wanted to hear a 'real' person's opinion. It doesn't have to be objective truth but an other point of view which can give me different knowledge and stuff.
