Windows 10 is now too old, it was indeed released in 2015 and Chinese language version was in 2016

Microsoft asked China "can we make Windows 11 for you" and China has said "no thanks, we took the Finnish Linux and turned it into Chinese"

https://www.zdnet.com/article/china-drops-windows-for-linux/

According to China's Ministry of State Security, the country has ordered some government agencies to drop Windows 10 China Government Edition for Chinese-made Linux distributions. (Windows 10 is now so old the support is diminishing)

Why not Windows 11?

Because China, like many other non-US governments, no longer trusts American
companies with their software and services.

>This approach is all about digital sovereignty. China never said htey dont fundamentally like Windows itself.

In addition, even before the recent trend of governments outside America moving away from Windows, Beijing has started a long-running push to replace foreign technology in sensitive systems with domestic, open-source alternatives.

The Chinese government did not specify which Linux versions would replace Windows 10. However, the stock prices of Chinese Linux suppliers, Kylin Software and Tongxin Software Technology (commonly known as UnionTech), immediately jumped in.

These companies' respective operating systems, Kylin OS and UnionTech OS (UOS), were already positioned as domestic desktop and server replacements for Windows in government, state-owned enterprise, and critical-infrastructure environments. They were translated into Chinese a decade ago and kept up to date.

Huawei's HarmonyOS 2, which began as an Android variant but is now a proprietary mobile and Internet of Things (IoT) operating system, is also being developed into a PC platform. HarmonyOS 2 won't be deployed anytime soon. Kylin and UOS are the only mature desktops that are ready for institutional desktop deployments.

Windows 11 is so fucking toxic and filled with spyware. They used to have alternating versions of windows that sucked / were good, but now, no one expects a "windows 12" to save all the shit in 11 that sucks. The "suck" (and spying) is the operating system, and will never be removed or fixed.

Yeah, that's the reason I switched to Linux. I installed it on a partirion just in case I needed windows for something but it has been two months and I haven't touched the windows one yet

Win11 has too much AI garbage in it

There is literally 0 reason to use Jeetows in 2026.

OS is a pretty simple things to develop. Why would China need microslop?

windows is and has been dogshit. i thought they migrated to linux years ago.

WTF took so long!? I still see Russians using Microsoft all the time too.

Most Chinese enterprises already use variants of Pagoda Linux as servers

https://www.bt.cn/new/product_linux.html

It would also work as a desktop
>>
I tried w11 for like a month and had to switch back to W10.. literal jeet garbage. But i don't like linux either ,they need to make some improvements in the visuals department this is not 2015 anymore
>>
You wouldn't download an operating system from literal communists would you?
>>
There is very little reason to keep running windows. Even back in the MS DOS days, you couldn't get real games for much else besides text adventures or shitty ascii poker. Now you can run almost anything on Linux, and it's free. I doubt I would ever put windows on my home PC again, even if it wasn't filled with spyware.

It's more about avoiding filthy Western spying.

Linux is open source, and you can edit is as you please.

To be fair, Windows is now dogshit and it keeps going downhill. My work uses Windows and it's just so much useless bloat it doesn't even make sense.

Like for example Cortana doesn't even work in Japan but I have to be asked every time I do something if I want to use it, there's a massive blank hoke where it should be, and so on. Glad I moved on to Linux.

This right there shows china can't do anything new.

>>541201414
honestly, everyone should have gone linux a long time ago. I can't fucking stand having the cloud update every time I transfer a file to a folder using Windows at work. so fucking asinine

Linux is now on par with windows. Linus has been quietly removing hundreds of drivers from the kernel. Reminder that Linus is a WEF member. They're removing drivers as old as a couple of years. They're literally introduced digital id into systemd and Linus and the other grifter fag Greg stayed absolutely quiet because they're in on it. 15 years ago Linus' contribution to the kernel was 2% of the total code, nowadays it's probably close to 0.5%, maybe even less. He a total scammer. He "merges" code, aka gatekeeps perfectly viable code from the kernel, just like when he did that with Qualcomm devices. They're slowly but surely enshittifying Linux. Reminder that every positive thing Linux has was done by the community, Linus and Greg are WEF plants in charge of slowly destroying by implementing planned obsolescence on the kernel. He also refused gpl3 because he's in favor of tivoization. Read that again. He favors tivoization and is against gpl3. What a joke.

i worry that hackers will start to target linux pcs with malware

Can't blame them, Winslop is 90% made of spyware and blatware.

Is linux annoying to use? I really hate windows, some pajeet niggers making updates for them has recently been fucking with my PC

Why the fuck would you give American software companies access to your internal government servers? Is this even a question?

Linus is an American citizen and the Linux foundation is based in the USA. You can be sure it’s somehow compromised.
>>
>>541205677
No, it's easy to use
Unless you expect to do things the same way and use the same software as on windows
Then it is impossible to use
Be a slave, it doesnt matter, this system we live in is headed that way regardless of individual.choices

No one should use Windows after Windows 10.

I'm fairly certain the jews did that mostly.
Additionally DDOS attacks are likely jewish in nature too.as Cloudflare would be uneeded.

I would take if from an American flag even though it would be some fat American goy taking credit for the work of the Jews and even pajeets. But the Estonian flag saying this, it's fucking rich.

there's nothing wrong with windows 11
>>
>>541205677
Not if your primary usage is Internet. Ultimately this anon >>541205830
is somewhat correct and at the same time, slightly incorrect these days.

SOME applications are ported over to Linux now, but there may be shit that's unavailable. WINE and VMs can cover some of those problems, but obviously it's extra steps.
