A few months ago a bunch of Hispanics that don’t speak any English showed up in our rural Appalachian town. They drive cars with out of state license plates and have been doing Walmart grocery deliveries.At first, I found a few of them staying at an AirBNB and I thought they were just renting it. Then I realized they have been staying there for like 5 months now, they would’ve gotten an apartment instead of paying $60 a night for so long so a few days ago I found out the owner of that house is a manager/V.P of sales at a landscaping company in town.Seems like he imported a bunch of illegals to use as laborers. When they aren’t doing landscaping jobs they are doing Walmart deliveries. All you need to deliver is a spark driver account, the illegals each use multiple accounts they purchase(often made with citizens stolen identities). They are constantly buying new accounts because when a new account is made the they have new driver priority for a few weeks to try and get people hooked/ stick with doing deliveries. So they have a huge advantage over us native drivers that can only use 1 account each.Now I find out his brother is a Coach(salaried position) in the online grocery pickup department at our Walmart(he handles complaints and enforces rules for drivers) Now I understand why the illegals are able to get away with things like showing up for pickups with accounts where the driver doesn’t match the photo on the account. He is covering for his brothers illegals.The elderly in our community are being effected with the poor service. One old lady who lives in senior apartments told me her order was left outside and she didn’t know it was delivered until 2 hours later. Her delivery instructions state to buzz in at the call box and bring the order to her front door(she is nice and always gives cash tips)
One of the Venezuelan illegals was even wearing a Venezuelan flag hat.Because of all the migrants we have lost our bonuses/incentives that we were earning daily because they needed orders delivered. our earnings are down about 40% while we have to take high mileage deliveries while the illegals get the high paying low mile deliveries.
I’ve called ICE 2 times now and given them license plate numbers and descriptions of the cars the illegals are driving. I don’t think they’re going to actually help us because although it’s obvious these guys are illegals, we don’t actually have proof they came across the border illegally. My life has been ruined by illegal immigrants.
The illegals stick out like a sore thumb because we didn’t really have many hispanics here before they showed up.
