Usually when a war breaks out, money floods into US Treasuries as a safe-haven asset, so bond prices are supposed to go up (yields down)

But this time, because the oil supply chain through the Hormozis got choked, it's making people dump bonds instead of buying them

Trump the Great is truly unpredictable

He even starts wars completely differently from everyone else.
Thanks to that, US national debt skyrocketed by $3.8 trillion in just one year, hitting the $40 trillion milestone

Instead of the enemy nation sweating, he's making his own Fed sweat bullets

Miggers deserve no mercy. They are all Israeli agents and should be shot for treason. I guess Trump did one thing good, he's almost singlehandedly destroyed the status quo in the US and we're faced with jew backed authoritarianism or jew backed socialism which both mean lynching finance and tech bros. We left the path where Bezos and Musk cement their power and establish the corporate supremacist technocracy so we could destroy Israel while watching the US destroyed by jews.

>"Take the guns first, go through due process second" -Donald Trump
God has taken a similar approach, take everything america loves first, then have it go through due process second.
america must now show that it's deserving of the things it loves.

first extreme poverty, illness and absolute squalor for the nation, then judgment.
MAGA!

Never use your own pocket change when you have a global credit card. Start a war? Started 50 years ago but smiling polyester mannequins have no guts inside. Iran is inside of Iran a fully contained unit because it wholly rejects globalization due to extreme fundamentalism. That is not a threat at all even with a nuke they will never achieve but nothing introduces globalism inside your bubble like good old war. 2 months 15 years doesn't matter they are no longer insular, and that is the goal not some ridiculous nuke that does less than Chernobyl. Their young are no longer with the ancient, and that's a very very good thing economically down the road. Jinn is never going back in. Hello world.
>>
>>541275001
Didn't we have a deal with them where they come back to the global stage and they don't make nukes and even let people in to check and make sure, and also they don't nationalize a global energy bottleneck and rent-seek on passage? Wonder what happened to that?

Normally, Japan as their traditional ATM was supposed to buy all US treasuries and throw money at them, but after Abenomics crashed and based Takaichi took over, they don't have the spare change anymore.

Instead of buying, Japan is actually dumping their treasury bags just to stop the yen from bleeding out.
That's why Bessent had to pull a surprise move and use money from sold European bonds to buy back Japanese yen.

Meanwhile, China, the second biggest holder of US debt, literally sold off half their treasuries recently, probably gearing up for an actual invasion of Taiwan.

So what's the master plan now?

They are frantically sniffing around crypto to offload all this toxic debt.
Who knows? at this rate they might just mint a Trump face coin and make it legal tender lol

Good thing for the USG there's no alternative then since Wall St killed off Bitcoin through Saylor/MSTR taking a controlling stake and being a total dipshit tyrant and already doing x1000000 so millions of poor people are now just throwing their lifesavings away chasing the pump to reward the thousands of cali tech bros and expat russian scammers who didn't make enough millions from the advertising-dataming industrial complex yet and need a third yacht and fourth home for their on-again-off-again fifth russian camwhore side cumdumpster

Millions? try trillions. and it doesn't matter if it's dems or reps. the uniparty has been printing money to fund foreign wars and corporate welfare for decades. voting for either side is just rearranging deck chairs on the titanic.

To be exact, the US financial point of no return started right under Bush. before Bush, the national debt was only 5 trillion. but thanks to the wars and the 08 crisis, it instantly doubled to 10 trillion. Obama had no intention of ending wars or paying it back, so another 9 trillion was added on his watch.

Then Trump added 8 trillion in just 4 years, and Biden matched it with another 8 trillion in 4 years. (though to be fair, Biden's spike was mostly due to covid, and Trump was the one who started handing out checks first when covid hit)

Now with Trump back in office, he pumped another 4 trillion in just 1 year, pushing the total debt past 40 trillion after skyrocketing 30 trillion in just two decades. there is no way out anymore.

Global absorption capacity for endless US treasury printing has reached its absolute limit Japan has no dry powder left to buy our bonds, and China has zero reason to buy them when they're prepping to take Taiwan.

That's why crypto has been pumping like crazy for the past few days. the US is desperately trying to offload all this toxic debt onto crypto bags.

If this crypto bailout fails, the US economy is genuinely fucked from that point on. interest payments have already surpassed the defense budget.

The thing is that America still has things the rest of the world wants that aren't produced elsewhere, and produces everything it needs to subsist and (despite efforts) still holds a lot of expertise again not available elsewhere.

We've certainly dug ourselves a hole. The question is if we have the wherewithal to get it together and climb out. The trouble is that it has almost nothing to do with working class and their willingness to suck it up and deal with austerity because we've already stretched that rope thin. It's entirely on our wealthy agreeing to eat losses or not, because the debt pay-down and the capital sacrifice to fund the recovery has to come out of their assets.
>>
>>541271578
it's not. There will be public whining, but in reality the USA is building trade networks that don't rely on China.
A multipolar world is going to consist of China and chinese vassals and debt trapped subordinates vs the western world which wants to leverage individual partners economic strengths to create jobs in their countries. China's policy is fuck everyone else but China.
You know it's true, no matter what shithole you live in.
>>
>>541284996
for fucks sake stop breaking trade treaties and other shit over nothing though. no you don't want to do this because your president is bored on saturday either.

else this shit show will become really hard to salvage.
>>
>>541285370
he's able to do this because the Chinese option is just that much worse.
Do you hold out for a western-led permanent trade alliance or do you capitulate and let the Chinese dump their shit in your ports and kill your domestic industry?

And Interest/GDP is what matters.

If the growth of debt-driven interest rates outpaces US GDP growth, that's when it's straight to hell.

Because even if GDP is secured, a massive chunk of that money can't be used for the current generation; it gets totally burned through just paying the interest on past debt.

Right now, if you simply compare America's current GDP growth rate with short-term nominal indicators, the GDP growth rate is still just very slightly higher than or comparable to the rate of increase in interest rates or interest costs, meaning it is in an extremely razor thin state.

>>
>>541285622
wait...? the man is breaking the treaties of the western trade alliance. the rest of the alliance does try to maintain it but it is increasingly looking like at least a temporary partial severance from the USA because it is not tenable.

which does somewhat not make it actually exactly the same western-led "permanent" trade alliance for the economy
