He was holding a lit firework and didn't throw it in time
Basically he broke every rule of safe firework handling as well as common sense

I tend to turn a blind eye to stupid teenager antics.

I can see his point but I also have the foresight to envision even more regulation as a bit short sighted.

The British public love banning things. They'd ban sex if they could.

Ah yes, take from the majority because of the mistakes of the minority, classic.
>>
>>541273111
Just say we banned them and when he asks what that noise was just say it was a car backfiring. How is he gonna know we're lying?

one guy who won't be looking back in anger

One of the biggest ways freedom has been attacked in the UK over the last few decades is by banning things to protect a tiny percentage of retards. 99.99% of people manage to use fireworks safely but because of the 0.01% they must be banned.
>>
>>541273111
Had one of those Blackcat firecrackers go off in my hand as a kid. I’m lucky it wasn’t an M-80 or some shit. Needless to say, I learned my lesson.

Jesus christ kids these days are retarded.

It's the UK so he'll probably get his wish.

Wow, you’d think after they blinded him this guy wouldn’t have any trouble not buying anymore fireworks on his own, but he’s so weak willed he needs them banned?
>>
>>541273111
So he threw a bunch of fireworks in a bonfire and they exploded in his face? The Europoor reaction to ban everything do to a single persons stupidity is mind boggling.

Or just wear safety glasses if you're gonna intentionally mishandle fireworks.

Teens fuck around, shit happens, always has, and it's the only way a lot of these kids learn anything. So it's a bug, not a feature. Sometimes close calls, sometimes injuries, sometimes death. It used to be an accepted part of life. 90's or 00's if a kid blinded himself fucking around with fireworks zero people would cry for bans. Even your own parents would say you had it coming like what did you think would happen?
This is how kids learned. You stay away from traffic cause the neighbor kid got struck by a car. You learn to not climb on trains when you see you friend turn to toast. And so on and so forth. India just forgot about the learning part.
We are not so different from monkeys. Except while the dumbest bonobo would never put their hands on a hot stove after seeing someone get burned, we somehow got so fucking dumb it would become a viral "hand on stove challenge" and when the ERs fill with self inflicted burn injuries the parents screech to ban ovens.

>Tom, who has since become a father for the first time, said despite what happened to him he does not hate fireworks, but thinks the "public sale of them is crazy".

>Tom suffered injuries to his face leading to him losing his sight during an incident with friends on the beach in Scarborough, North Yorkshire.

>The teenager said focusing on the baby daughter who he would never be able to see had helped him pull through.

>"I am just grateful to have her with me," he said.

>"It is a lot easier to focus on what's coming than what's behind with her there."

>Looking back to the accident, Tom's mother Danni said it was "such a horrific time for all of us".

>"There was a period where I thought we're probably not going to get him through this," she said.

>But she paid tribute to her son's resilience and determination, which has kept them both going.

>"Sometimes I still look at him and think, 'how has he done this?'. How has he not just crumbled? I am just in awe of him."

>Now, less than a year after losing his sight, Tom is already preparing to run 2027's London Marathon - with his mother as his guide.

What a Chad

I read this as it was an accident caused by himself. Maybe it is better to start having nationwide information or training on how to deal with fireworks first instead.

>The teenager said focusing on the baby daughter who he would never be able to see had helped him pull through.
Low impulse control. It's a shame the firework didn't kill him and his spawn.

Give him 5 years and he will realize we shouldn’t ban fireworks and he was just a retard. Nice that he still kept his moral up, sad to lose your eyes so young from something so dumb.

If you have ublock origin just click on the icon in your menu bar and hit the login with the lightning bolt then you can watch it

Did he somehow not know playing with explosives is dangerous? If you don't do stupid shit fireworks are not the problem...
