Farmers should be the richest men because they provide the very food to sustain a country, but they're simply not save for the few in the big business side of it like all things. Smaller time farmers get raped by taxes and the expectation of a bountiful harvest every year, if they faulter for a single year they're financially fucked.

I believe farming should be taken over by the state. Food produced and sold at cost, maybe 1% profit margin at most.
