This is true but strategically the attack is still a disaster. What is the point of a war wherein you never destroy the enemy, they never capitulate, and you never occupy their territory? It’s pointless. All you’ve achieved is wasting time money and people and made a lot of enemies in the region. From that standpoint, the Iran war is at least as much of a disaster as the invasion of Afghanistan. There is literally not one positive outcome and only negative ones because the political motives were fucking retarded.
