Trump had no real chance of 'fixing' this situation, since Bush had already fucked everything up beyond repair. A lot of people don't seem to know or understand this. But here is what SPECIFICALLY went wrong:>Bush's proposed budget from February of 2001 would have resulted in a surplus and a long-term reduction in the federal debt, along with the creation of backup reserves for programs like Social Security>This was a good plan>Bush immediately tore up this plan after 9/11 and shoveled an insane amount of money into the Pentagon and started running up massive annual deficits>Bush outsourced control of foreign policy to a 'White House within the White House' called the Office of Special Plans, led by Israeli spy Douglas Feith>Instead of using the post-9/11 security architecture to crack down on illegal immigration and repair America's demographics, Bush did the opposite in order to appease 'corporate America'>Bush 'juiced' the markets with easy money and lax regulation, leading to the 2008 financial crisis>American demographics and the federal budget went into a permanent descending spiral specifically since 2001/2001That's what happened. Bush is not hated nearly enough for what he did to the US. He was in charge during an absolutely critical period of time, and he chose the wrong options at every turn. The end.
