at this point what’s the obsession with nukes? drones are proving to be much more damaging than a nuclear threat. because as we’ve seen nukes don’t get used even if applicable, but drones are a thousand cuts into your enemy’s resources. counterable only with magnitudes larger investments, cheap, decentralised, easily deployed from everywhere anytime, small enough that they don’t warrant countermeasures, but inflict massive damage over a long period of time a nuke is very expensive and maintenance difficult, and then you’d also have to deliver it. plus you get shunned even by china if you use one, but drones, who cares about drones. human psyche doesn’t care about a surgical strike every now and then, you get desensitised, but the damage can be absolutely massive in comparison what was invested
