Do you own a home /pol/? Is it as advantageous to own one today like it was for boomers or is the maintenance and property tax not worth it? I'm paying $1500 month that covers everything for a one bedroom in a good area and the property taxes along on most homes I've seen for sale are within a few thousand dollars of what I'm paying.

Your bank is the landlord and they can make you mad when they raise the escrow.

>is owning something better than renting when you consider maintenance and taxes
yeah, someone owns what they are renting to you and turning a profit

You're claiming the property tax on homes around you are $3,000 a month? Are these $3,000,000 homes you're looking at?
>>

No, I make $17/hr.

In my area it's cheaper to rent. Landlord pays for landscaping, pest control, maintenance and most importantly insurance on the house, which in my area is like $15-25k a year. Plus property taxes. I'm actually in a much better position than 99% of homeowners financially, in my area.

wats the point of stressing over owning a home when we're all bound for eternal happiness in heaven anyway?

no, I plan on taking home from boomers

I just have a shitty apartment. All mandatory living expenses are less than 800€/month so it's manageable.

I own a two, it's pretty meh, nice to have one to live in as it gives a sense of security but as a investment it's a massive hassle and there's lots of costs, I prefer stocks, even my gold and crypto have out performed my investment house and it's doubled in value in about 5 years, bought outright though, took a year off to renovate -eben bigger hassle, so no loan/mortgage
