The internet is relatively new, and all progress made by humans over the next decades/centuries will be continually added to the training data of LLM’s. All specific types of data will be purposely recorded to train whatever type of model you want. There may be a data bottleneck for now, but this problem gradually goes away with time. Then there’s the possibility of chip advancements, and major breakthroughs like quantum, photonic, neuromorphic, etc. But even if no hardware advancements occur, there’s still plenty of room for improving algorithms and pruning data sets. Then there’s energy advancements, or at least a larger supply of energy as we focus more on production (see: China).All the retards who seethe about AI are gonna feel really dumb in a few decades when they have to explain to their grandchildren that they initially thought AI was a dead end. That is, if they have children in the first place.

A consensus model falls apart the more niche or current a topic is, as it's too easy to sway, and at larger scale it falls apart at commonly held, but since outdated consensus. For the least controversial example, imagine a feature removed from an application in the current version that has been present for a decade prior. Now apply the same logic to anything without version numbers. If you prioritise by how recent, you undermine consensus. If you prioritise expertise, you need a method to scale accreditation of expertise. Both bring massive weaknesses and exploits.
