What would happen if all debt was deleted? Well, all of you would lose all money you have access to in a bank. The number on your bank account is no more than a receipt saying how much you are entitled to from its coifers. There is no guarantee that the bank actually has any of that money, which is what causes bank runs to happen. In this case it is immaterial, because the deletion of debt means that all the money the bank owes you has just been deleted.
