So, I whipped up a exiftool xmp schema, wrote python to save those strings embedded in the comic itself. Faggy smbc is worse... there's a "bonus panel". Plotted out how I'm going to get a proper collection of the Addams Family strips (it was a comic before the tv show/movies). Trying to figure out how to get the full collection of Far Side (not in book form though). Planning out which others to keep too.Most of my efforts go to my library-proper, though, and books. Working on the theology section, trying to get biblios of what books I need to be complete on Molokanism and Muggletonianism. Working on Quakerism too, but the 450 Pendle Hill pamphlets aren't all available. Oh, but I did grab every extant Der Stürmer on archive.org. Can't get all of them without high-priced Gale-Cengage subscriptions I don't have.

Many of them are over 15 years old by now (some are pushing 20) and every time I go to use them, they continue to read/write data without issues. Don't get jewed into thinking you have to buy brand new or nothing. Used hard drives are fine for archiving and data hoarding (but you do have to look after them and store them properly. And they won't last forever. I'll have to start migrating some of my data onto newer drives over the next decade).Feel free to ask me questions about data hoarding and archiving. It's definitely cheaper to buy ten 1TB HDDs than one 10TB HDD. Having 10TB of data spread over ten separate drives is obviously annoying, but if you're a poorfag like most of us are (myself included), then that's just how it is.
