I was listening to a radio program the other day where they interview high school aged classical musicians, always brilliant.

This particular episode interviewed a girl who was living WITH her teacher and home schooling, would only see parents at concerts. The reason we get so many East Asian prodigies is that they are willing to sacrifice EVERYTHING to min max the one thing. They don't really have childhoods either, just music all the time.

Because the skill of musical instruments still holds social value

All you have to do in the US is copy Taylor Swift or rap and you are considered “music”
