They were excellent until 2016 and the woke shit got pushed. Like yeah they were always liberal but they were still solid and had unique stuff.
Actually the first time I heard Jojis solo music was on NPR and I had no clue that it was filthy frank. They just played it like it was nothing.

Now I'm lost in my feels.
Me and my ex used to listen to NPR all morning and do brunch and chores. I have some special memories with old NPR

>Anyway they're pretty good as general news goes

Their content is good if untainted by ideology. Marketplace has good, interesting economic news most of the time. Some of their science coverage is good when they're not trying to shove a 'climate change' angle into it, or crying because DOGE cut funding to this or that. Their political coverage is abysmal dogshit.

They cover a lot of jewish boomer slop too. Random deep dives on native american water rights or the fight for trans rights in Tanzania, or an hourlong interview with some jewish director who makes documentaries.

You missed peak rage bait NPR. They’ve genuinely softened their tone once they got their funding slashed. 90s-mid 2000s npr was genuinely enjoyable if not a little left leaning. After the Micheal brown riots it became increasingly intolerable peaking right up until their funding was pulled. I’d still genuinely listen to marketplace, but the rest was to “know thy enemy”

One of my favorite moments of all time was the genuinely disgust some cunty host couldn’t help but squeal out Super Tuesday 2016 as Trump swept the primaries. God that was so long ago, good times.

I used to play a game - how long until they mention black people/issues/injustice. There were years where they seriously couldn’t go longer than 5 minutes, which is hilarious, because blacks despise NPR thinking it’s white not Jewish. Multiple times I’d tune in and within 3 seconds it’d be black this or injustice that.

Come to think of it tho I havnt listened in ages like I used to. I’ll still tune in on the drive to work but they got me rolling in at the ass crack of dawn these days so it’s actually just BBC world service, which has gone way down hill in just the last few years. I used to love BBCWS when I worked nights. But they decided they wanted to be more like normal and I can barely get through half a story anymore. It’s always some piss ass villager from Africa complaining about some dumb shit amd a whit women cooing sympathies.

They jumped the shark in 2014 but I agree they were absolutely intolerable during trumps first term. I couldn’t even listen ironically back then.

I think it was around then they had a really odd announcement that, after much consideration, they were going to “focus all attention on global warming, racism and sexism.” Maybe a few days later there was an article on why journalists don't have to report balanced news and its totally fine to be balanced.
It just sounded weird and kind of forced.
Pretty much immediately all the woke stuff started getting pushed and reading listeners letters halted.
The terminal snobbery had begun and NPR completely radicalized me before the end of the year. Had to come here for news and analysis after that, so I suppose that’s a silver lining.

NPR is still good to listen to. One must know what the enemy is talking about.

Blacks aren't the target audience, it's White and Jewish libtards with a savior complex. They don't even like em either, your average Kamala voter hates niggers so much it'd make a grand wizard blush, but in their twisted morality, virtue means loving the unlovable, at the expense of all decency and common sense. These neo-puritans are gonna be the death of us all.

You think NPR is bad? Try the Aussie ABC - all their content is Wokery+PC or socialism. Costs Strayan taxpayers $1B per year. Just turn this shit off - the transmitters are a waste of electricity

Exactly, but no more. Every time I turn it on now (out of curiosity) it's always a sob story with some third-worlder overcoming hardship to become blah blah blah

Haha I have a friend who listened to NPR. Biggest NPC ever.
