That's really bad... Most children who don't learn reading by first grade will never catch up. It's a critical window that trains their brains to associate symbols with sound and meaning, and they've missed it. Three Cuing has drastically and perhaps permanently weakened this country. What is going to happen to these students? Will they become productive members of society? Researchers? Doctors? Pilots? And if they have families themselves, how would they install good reading habits into their own children?
