He just worked long hours and sat silently at the dinner table and in front of the TV, occasionally having choleric and sometimes even violent outbursts when we misbehaved or simply were too loud/annoying to him. He only beat us boys of course, a real boomer gentleman. These days he is confused why everybody kind of ignores him and he whines about his poor generation working themselves into depression. Recently he has the gall to complain to me about my sister raising my godchild not hard enough. That kid is a smart kind of spergy boy not unlike myself at that age and he says to me he needs beatings completely unaware of the trauma he put me through. It's unbelievable. They have no clue.
