I've noticed the Irish are pretty much universally liked nowadays. Every time the Irish are brought up in conversation, I hear people passingly mention how much they like the Irish. The only exception to this rule are Ulster and Scottish Protestants for obvious reasons.Here in America, people like the Irish so much, they pretend to BE Irish even when they aren't. Any time someone has an Irish name or surname, it is pointed out in conversation as a positive thing. Even racist people like the Irish.
