There’s no FUCKING way the divorce rate is this low. Virtually everyone I’ve ever known who has gotten married has been divorced and/or had their kids taken away from them. Even the newlywed couples I’ve heard the idea of divorce breached even within the first year.

The only couples I’ve known who were actually separated by death are people’s grandparents. The youngest couple I’ve seen stay married until death would be well into their 70s by now.

K. Keep me posted.
>>
are you stupid? the graph meana 50% of married couples get divorced
>>
>>541420975
Yeah I think it’s much higher than that. 50% after what? 1 year? 3 years? If it were extrapolated over 20 years I think it would be 80-90%
>>

Someone earlier looked at this chart and said "the divorce rate is 4%" without understanding the rates become cumulative over a lifetime, because you are not just married for 1 year, you are married for 20+ years

>>541421031
It's 30-40% over a married couple's lifetime, you can double check with AI or google.

I figured it out: your chart is divorces for every 1000 people. Not married people.
If you chart it as per every 1000 married women instead, its much higher.

Take a second to think it through, its a confusing stat.

I know a guy about to get married for the fifth time

imagine inviting uncle sam into your personal affairs
>>

It’s bound to go higher then. It’s probably skewed by boomer and greatest generation data.

You're the one who posted it you retard, what does your source say?
>>
>>541420795
weird, every married couple I know is going strong.
you probably live in a poor area.

I needed an image for the OP, I’m saying I don’t believe the data
>>541421253
You’re not even in America
>>
>>541421203
As you can see from the chart you posted yourself, it's on a steady decline.

So no, it's probably not going higher. Most likely it will continue it's decline.
