I knew some cable guys in Chicago, literally just fixing people's internet and TV, who quit their jobs because they were regularly attacked or shot at in black majority areas and the company refused to send them in groups. At first Spectrum got police escorts for them, but after too many arrests and violence got into the news with pictures of Spectrum vans/trucks in the background, the company stopped because it looked bad for their brand I guess
