After Russia's failure in Ukraine and US' absolute mess with Iran, there's just no way China does it's own version of such power-losing clusterfuck.

There is not going to be a war over Taiwan. At least it is highly unlikely to happen. A conflict like that assuming the US will get involved even indirectly would mean a collapse of much of economic ties between China and the US, which would be next to impossible to sustain. Not to mention that with an increasingly jingoistic Japan it could involve them one way or another, which threatens to turn the war nuclear quite fast. Nobody would benefit from a catastrophe of such magnitude. Not to mention, Taiwan itself is slowly becoming less and less important to the US and, as China's navy expands, less defensible as well. Eventually Beijing and Washington will likely strike some kind of deal where China is given a green light to absorb Taiwan peacefully. Taiwanese may not like it at first, but should US and China reach such an agreement, Taiwan’s own authorities will gradually prepare their population for imminent integration and explain to them why this may actually be a good thing in a highly unstable global environment. They may have some protests there at first, but they will die out with time and careful handling just like those in Hong Kong did. Full integration will take a few decades, but eventually it will be done.

If China manages to replicate chip production, Taiwan will become irrelevant. Then give it few years and they will willingly join Mainland. Perhaps they will have some special status some sovereignty but in the end they will bee part of CHina.

Attacking them is pointless and vain.

>Taiwan’s own authorities will gradually prepare their population for imminent integration and explain to them why this may actually be a good thing in a highly unstable global environment.
That's Ukraine-level gamble and China would be retarded to follow this path. Half of Taiwanese don't even recognize themselves as "Chinese" anymore and other half hate commies. They could as well fortify themselves on the island and wait til China's inexperieced navy make fool of themselves, while international reaction puts pressure on China.

Only reasonable thing to do would be just to leave Taiwan alone.

Taiwan will be forced to join China without a single gunfire sooner or later. It could take a month, a year, a decade or 50 years but it will happen and there is nothing you can do about that.
>>
>>541433326
The current leadership seems too smart to do this, but you never know once the next guy is in charge. They've done it before with Vietnam.
>>
>>541433326
They will and they will show to everyone how it should be done.

>It could take a month, a year, a decade or 50 years
Yeah, probably these 50 years and then we'll see (how nothing happens).

Between US and Russia, Chinese commie military is most inexperienced and proved to be most useless in the past. Before Ukraine, Chinese themselves considered Russian military as superior and an example of how to build their own hard power. They're putting a lot steam into their wistle, but Chinese leadership would have to be retarded to actually go for a reality check.

It would appear that China’s plan with Taiwan was always to slowly absorb it back into China.

Kek
We're the only reason they are still a country because we can't let China have access to TSMC
As soon as TSMC manufacturing moves here (a plant is already being built in Arizona) we'll probably strike a deal to let China have it back
>>

>slowly absorb
But how it could happen, when with time less and less Taiwanese even considers themselves as Chinese?

Only reasonable thing for China would be to pretend like this is what's going on, while easing of tensions to build actual relations with Taiwan, so at some point senior-junior partnership occurs.
>>

This.
The US is a distant and declining power, while China is projected to ascend and shares a national history and language: the Taiwanese themselves will beg to join China under some sort of Hong Kong-style arrangement to maintain their own internal political autonomy.
China invading Taiwan is just some kike warmongering projection wet dream.
>>
>>541435359
They are slowing buying off Taiwanese politicians. I hear that 40-45% of them have been bought off by the CCP

>Russia's failure in Ukraine
Never happened
>there's just no way China does it's own version of such power-losing clusterfuck
If America stations short range nuke systems on Taiwan, then Taiwan gets invaded. If that doesn't happen, China doesn't invade.

>If China manages to replicate chip production, Taiwan will become irrelevant. Then give it few years and they will willingly join Mainland.
This but when instead of if.

>>541434056
>They could as well fortify themselves on the island and wait til China's inexperieced navy make fool of themselves
Taiwan depends on Chinese logistics for food. Merely not allowing ships to sail from Chinese ports to Taiwan is sufficient to defeat Taiwan. That's all it takes. A Chinese blockade doesn't even require its navy.
>while international reaction puts pressure on China.
You think China's going to let Taiwan threaten Beijing with Nukes (The only situation that would result in a Taiwan crisis) to avoid hurting international feelings? China is currently providing ISR, Manpads, and drones to Iran. China's navy has a ship following American vessels aroudn the Gulf of Oman to provide targeting for Iran's anti-ship missiles. Chinese tankers run America's blockade daily. Scott Bessent told reporters just yesterday that his "Economic D-Day" plan wouldn't dare actually apply threats to China. You misunderstand who is powerful here.
>Only reasonable thing to do would be just to leave Taiwan alone.
Taiwan is China. China will do nothing and win. If they have to do something, it will have the appearance of being nothing.
>>
>>541434813
>Between US and Russia, Chinese commie military is most inexperienced
America's military does not have experience winning a war. China's military industrial complex is the reason Iran has infinite manpads.
>Chinese themselves considered Russian military as superior and an example of how to build their own hard power
Because Russia's military right now is the best in the world at projecting regional power.

>>541435127
>As soon as TSMC manufacturing moves here
To a degree it already has, it's just not working as well as it does in Taiwan. For some reason, staffing a chip fab with African Americans isn't getting the same results as staffing it with Taiwanese or Chinese.

>>541435359
>how it could happen, when with time less and less Taiwanese even considers themselves as Chinese?
Because they're genetically indistinguishable and depend economically on China's tacit approval for their existence. In a generation, barring a Taiwan crisis started by western gayops, Taiwan as an independent identity won't exist.

>Never happened
Stopped reading after that.

You never know. They did it with Vietnam and Kampuchea.
