In order to understand a modern national socialist, you have to realize that for them it is not an ideology, but a legitimate religious belief with all its mythos, rituals, sacred texts and holy symbolism. When you stop perceiving them as ideologically-inclined people, but rather religious fanatics instead, it all starts to make sense. And as a religion, they do not see any necessity for it to be based on anything verifiable or falsifiable, one just needs to have faith in the doctrine and other attributes "to be saved". Hitler to them is the Prophet figure, which nearly every religion has. They regard him as some divine being that is the source of sacred knowledge, which is why they can never admit he did something wrong, even when it is obvious. "His spirit will rise again" is also a typical allude to a "resurrection-like" prophesized event, which they eagerly await. Swastika is their sacred symbol akin to those almost every religion has, which are supposed to make it easier for the adepts of the cult to connect to the divine through tangible imagery. Mein Kampf to them is a holy scripture, written directly by their Prophet figure and containing main guidelines and dogmas for them to follow. They even have a term for outsiders, like any cult out there, which is designed to promote isolation of the cultists and build up resistance against outside criticism. Like Muslims would call non-believers Kefirs and thus automatically discard any of their points, national socialists would call you Jewish, Bolshevik etc. to shut down any discussion. The more you dig into modern Nazism, the more you realize its adepts treat is as a religion, not a secular ideology. They just need something to fill the spiritual void inside themselves and give their lives some sort of direction.
