Then Hollywood picked up these tropes and drew associations between Skinheads and drug use, the party scene, general debauchery, and ultimately divorcing it from observant/reactionary racialism. The Skinhead movement was subverted, and went through a managed decline, similar to the Hippie movement in America - as more radical editions of the Hippie movement began to emerge, such as Eco-fascists and anti-Hippies. So it had to be shut down. They're not represented in large numbers publicly, and the punk movement has been shifted leftward due to the neutering of the Skinhead movement and big-money cultural astroturfing, along with homogenization of pop-culture.
