Why are boomers in denial that the job market is horrible? My boomer dad is retiring soon and wants to find a part time gig but he cannot find employment. I kept warning him about how hard it is for everyone, even college grads, but he doesn't listen. It's been weeks now, no luck, not even McDonald's would hire him. He's 62 and a Trump supporter.

boomers cant even comprehend inflation and how worthless the Dollar has become over the decades.
day of the pillow cant come soon enough.

Bills still need to get paid anon. Most boomers retire and collect pensions while working another job in secret.

There's this scientific term in neurology called "neuroplasticity"; it refers to how receptible a person's brain is to processing new information, likening the function similar to plastic as the material is still bendable but becomes fixed and difficult to bend rather easily. When we're children, the neuroplasticity of our brains is quite soft, and so it's easy for humans to absorb all the information around them without effort and without much question. After becoming adults, the neuroplasticity of our brains harden extensively, and processing new information requires much more explicit intention to receive it than before. A boomer (by the literal definition of a human being who grew up during the 1950's) has no frame of reference for what's occurring, and grew up with newspapers, radio, and television as the primary means of digesting new information. The existence of the internet is an alien thing within a boomer's perception. The neuroplasticity of a boomer has hardened very early in life around a world that doesn't exist anymore; in other words, they live in a parallel reality where the world is still the 70's. Your dad can't mentally comprehend anything that's occurring in your life, because it doesn't fit the notions he internalized when he was young.

McDonald's doesn't pay under the table, anon. I think 10,000 a year is the cut off to where you don't have to report. Maybe no one will hire a scammer when they hear his "plan".

And as for jobs, your dad doesn't listen to you because within his mind, jobs function like they did when he grew up. He doesn't expect to be competing with everyone on the planet for the few positions that do exist, or even the idea that a company could be deceptive and post fake listings, or that a company has little interest in hiring someone even for positions that don't require many qualifications to tangibly preform the required tasks. These aren't obstacles he's ever experienced at any point in his life in obtaining employment.

Boomers are legit retarded and delusional. They listen to stuff they see on Facebook, but not their own flesh and blood, even when it's entirely based in fact.
>>
>>541482745
This post is a reminder that you post here with brown children who have zero idea how retirement works.
>>
>>541482946
sorry your Dad doesn't want to give you all his life savings to lose so you can get divorce raped by a trailer trash instawhore on your gamerstream
>>
>>541482073
I’ve heard of boomers who made over 100k every year for like twenty years and they saved nothing and now are getting fired from 30k a year jobs bc they didn’t realize how hard it is now and how easy they used to have it. They blame others instead of themselves of course.

Literally every gen Z and Millennial I know is killing it in life. Getting married, buying houses, having kids. These are young men that have careers though, not working low IQ jobs like gas station worker or shelf stocker. Jobs that require education.
>>
>>541485539
exactly
4chan is a poor example of how normal people are doing
you have to want something to have something
>>
>>541482553
>in secret
No. They do it like normal but with their number of hours at or just below what Social Security allows for. My dad does two days a week at the place he retired from and comes in at the exact limit for how much he's allowed to work while still legally counting as retired.
>>

Its crazy, Gen Z home ownership is actually very high compared to other generations. They are absolutely killing it. But online you would think the entire generation is failing because some dipshit pothead college drop out can't afford a home while working at a grocery store.

Zoomers would fuck over boomers way more if the roles were reversed. Boomers just got lucky. Guessing they're nicer people overall.

Because boomers don't have the capability to think beyond their own self or lifetime.
They literally don't give a shit. You're just an extension of them.

They assume you suffering will build character and then you'll pave their free ride in life as they spend your inheritance.

"Suffer because I suffered." "I don't care because I won't live long enough to see it. Not my problem."
>>
>>541485714
Because they have us Gen X/Xennial/Millenial parents saying "DONT FUCK UP LIKE MY PARENTS DID"
>>
>>541485730
Boomers had a free ride in life. Their WW1/WW2 parents paved the way as they overpopulated them into existence. Then the boomers used and abused it all and slammed the door for the rest of us.
>>
>>541482553
yep, they still get pensions, meanwhile companies did away with that for the rest of us and push us into shitty 401ks that don't do dick because boomers fuck that up too.
>>
>>541485807

Can you imagine the type of piece of shit that thinks they're entitled to be a home owner because they work some retard entry level job that doesn't require any education? Utter useless pot head drop out losers.
>>
>>541485969
It used to be doable. Unfortunately boomers and real-estate agents who wanted a percentage drove up single family homes with no work to 600k to over a million with no work/as is. Not to mention they sold them on "INVESTMENT PROPERTIES" so they buy up the inventory that is left and sit on it or shit on it and rent it back to the poor.
>>
>>541486026

That is pure cope. Min wage in boomers day was like $1/hr. You're not buying a house on that.
>>
>>541485894
The boomers parents were based as fuck. They were white supremacists who upheld a healhy culture. Boomers were hippie losers who watched TV like goycattle and dismantled every traditional institution.

Boomers acted like going to church, holding a job and not taking drugs like a loser beatnik was the most difficult thing in the world.

Boomer hate is universal. Anyone who had to spend time on earth with that faggot generation hates them.
>>
>>541482073
Totally not a fake post, you screwed up the larp by adding 'he is a trump supporter' that's when you add just too much icing to your fake cake

>Why are boomers in denial that the job market is horrible?
Because all of their Jewish and Indian buddies are telling them, "Well, my son just got a job with Schwarz and Associates straight out of college! 110K starting! If he can do it, anybody can!"

I don't ask my parents for money. I don't need it. I'm simply saying Boomers believe nonsense from Facebook and don't understand how the world is different for young people.
>>
>>541488214
There’s nothing wrong with asking parents for money. They brought you into this world so they should help out if needed.

Many boomers blew their high wage job money and house money and now ask their remaining relatives for cash.
