Militaries worldwide have been scrambling to answer the drone question since the Ukraine testing arena has shown shit is changing. They're throwing all sorts of shit and seeing what sticks. The US is adding 5.56 5 or 7 part frangible rounds to help lead enrich the atmosphere because everyone is very very against using shotguns with the extra logistics and training they would bring. Another bandaid is adding aimbot optics that use AI to track the drones and release the firing pin when the shooter lines up the shot. IMO these could help but the difference might not be considered worth the cost. The answer is probably just going to be more drones. Maybe something that packs up like a fat grenade and can be deployed in a second by throwing it towards the threat or auto deploys from a pack. Eventually combat bots will be taking the brunt of all this and pure industrial capacity will be the end all for military strength but for now someone still has to put their ass out there to get blasted.
