>>
>>541508434
Pretty shit, fren, pretty shit. Half the listings are fake, or just for data collection, people are using bots to mass apply so if you don't apply in the first day you're SOL. Most of the jobs are like four positions rolled into one for mediocre wages. I'm lucky to at least have a part time gig to keep money coming in, but I'm about to start a business because I've been job hunting for almost a year now.
>>
>>541508434
Its been a while since I had to do this but I'm now on the job search and have been unemployed for about a month. Kinda odd seeing "entry level" jobs with 1-3 years of experience preferred. Or "random certification required" and wouldn't ya know it, that cert costs $1400 and everyone in that industry agrees its a useless certification because its ancient.
Gotta have this license that requires 48 hours of CE, no we don't care you have 20 years of actual experience.

The oddest part are many jobs are worded so vaguely but in actuality are simply sales jobs. Just write "sales position". We don't need to french it up to be an account executive, or product consultant, or brand ambassador. Just say you want me to sell your bullshit.

Fuckin crazy I'm seeing stuff in a major metro area that requires skill and thought and they're offering $22/hour. Like man, you're just above retail drone but you're expecting high level applicants and work?

I'm moonlighting 3 remote jobs and putting in 30% effort into each. It's great.
>>
>>541511092
We know, Rajesh. Your visa allows your employers to pay you 30% of normal salary too, its why you have to work 3 remote jobs.
>>
You guys broke ur end of the bargain, I didnt get my job back
>>
>>541508684
This, also would not recommend getting a job.
>>
>>541509763

For real man, it's fucking bonkers. I live in the capital and I see it all over the fucking place here. Not only shit wages, but a ton of the jobs want a degree that's not even fucking necessary. I have almost 10 years at upper management and an executive level experience and it's cutthroat.
>>
>>541508521
>i never started it :D
What are you doing? Do you work for yourself or run a business or are you just rich already?
>>
>>541509162
Just start a business or a company or just go on an adventure. Don't give up
>>
>>541511539
>a ton of the jobs want a degree that's not even fucking necessary.
I started poking around city and county jobs. A few up and coming cities of ~20,000 people got funding for a pretty nice library. For assistant librarians, they're requiring a library sciences college degree and 5 years experience. Pay was $18/hour.

>>541512064
Yea don't work for a library unless it's a state university

uploading my resume last year resulted in spam calls every fucking day this year and random texts for scam jobs

What are the best sites do you think for job searching?
>>
>>541512645
The work site.
>>
>>541512639
Is this part of the ruse?
>we cannot find any American workers for this position (for $22/hour)
>we must petition the government to allow us to hire h1b workers at $18/hour
>government approves it because they never deny it

Just chronically lowball jobs for months, then get immigrants to do it for 20% less than the lowball?
>>
>>541512815
It absolutely is. They'll also use a weird title for the role that's either outdated or just esoteric to any newcomer in the hopes that only their guy (usually a h1b or someone they personally know) is the only one that applies.

As an example, I saw a really comfy entry level IT job at a aerospace company that paid 25 bucks an hour, gave every other Friday off, and had a massive cafeteria that was free for any employee to get breakfast, lunch, or dinner. As soon as I applied they took down the job and reposted it under a different title....they did this 6 times before they just stopped posting it and waited a month to repost it again

I forgot that one. Brace yourselves if you would ever be in need of a job and that's the only one you can get.
