There are plenty today in Fiji, Assam (originally closer to the Southeast Asian kingdom as opposed to yet another Indian state), and across the British Caribbean. Hell, the whole Rohingya crisis in Burma is entirely because the Brits brought Indian Muslim workers over and left them there when they granted Burma independence which created tons of ethnic tension and dissonance

With the soviet union gone, western elites no longer have any reason to appease their working classes. So we return to the way working class were treated in the 1800s, but this time with boeing aircraft able to ship in new labour to break strikes.

India has way too many fucking people that it needs to get rid of because its local infrastructure literally cannot support its own population. Exactly why thats true is a long and stupid story, but the end result is still that they NEED to export as many people as possible and become a disapora to avoid total societal collapse. Their current PM, Modi, actively pushes for this as part of trade deals. If you want access to India's economy, you are OBLIGATED to import millions of Indians. Thats the deal. So everywhere is getting flooded with millions of Indians, every year, basically no matter where you are. Because the Indian economy of 2 billion people is too big to ignore, forfeiting that trade would be a disaster.Third and finally, we have endstage capitalism. The big megacorps that have won capitalism have no new markets to expand into, but they still need to show increasing profits. The only way to do this is to cut costs, and one of the most reliable ways to do that is to spend less on employees. That means cutting workers, or replacing them with lower wage alternatives. As a result, all of the big companies are happy to import third world (primarily Indian, because see point 2) immigrant labor to replace domestic employees because they can be paid less.
