Religious people are used to God not actually doing anything or changing anything in practice, so they don't question it and don't see as a counterpoint to their beliefs.The voting masses are similar. If there's, let's say, a housing problem, or a job problem, or a tax problem, or a healthcare problem, the politician they support may talk big about solving it. And then they will solve 1% of it with some minor adjustment, and talk big about that, and have great headlines in the media about it, praising them and their win. And their supporters will be so happy and cheer so hard. But the problem is still present, isn't the guy in charge? Why not solve it entirely? They don't ask themselves that and don't question that, because they're used to the problem.
