The core issue with the "butthurt belt" is not that they are angry at Russia, - this is very much understandable, and they have historical reasons to dislike us. Plus, the way Russia is acting today is not helping one bit. The main problem with them is their spammy unoriginal way of handling this hatred, - the moment Russia is even remotely mentioned they go into the "frenzy mode" where conversation with them is no longer constructive and they spend the rest of the thread blindly raging and accusing everybody of being Russian or supporting Russia. From that moment forward do not expect a normal discourse with them, they bring down the whole conversation to the level of feces-throwing because their goal now is not to discuss Russia, but to insult you for supposedly being Russian. They turn it into a zero-sum game where the one to come up with the most vulgar way of fuming scores the victory in the internet battle. Nobody is saying you should like Russia, by all means, hate it if you wish to. Just don't be such insufferable spergs about it.
