That eliminates over half of them just because the ones that happen at night and don't destroy houses never got counted. Now every swirling wind pattern that even looks like a tornado on radar counts. Same reason tornado warnings no longer mean anything. In the 90s it meant it was seen by witnesses. Now it is just a data anomaly.
