Just watched Olievera's video about homeless junkies taking over entire streets and parks in Seattle. How many of these shanty towns are in America? Genuine question. I know Kensington in Philly is the worst one. Are these encampments present in every major city? I woner how many murders happens there and nobody cares,
>>

The homeless will congregate wherever they are. From big cities to small towns. The cops usually don't bother because the homeless see jail as an improvement over their situation and will never rehabilitate.
>>
>The right just criminalizes addiction and mental illness and doesn't try to actually assist.

Ya'll just want to euthanize instead of assist.
>>
>>541565250
They're a common staple in democrat ran cities.
>>
>>541565250
These are everywhere, they are just more hidden in most places. In my city they make encampments in the woods on the outer edges of the city near the suburbs. I've seen them in rural areas recently, typically camping around larger commercial parking lots or near stores like Dollar General. Seeing homeless outside of a major metro area was almost unheard of until recent years. Surely rents almost universally doubling and tripling in price nationwide has nothing to do with that, it must be character flaws in every single homeless person.
>>
>>541565601
Your point being?
>>
>>541565601
Nothing is stopping the homeless from seeking addiction treatment or mental health care. It takes a pattern of refusing assistance and safety nets to end up actually homeless. If someone doesn't want to change, they will not change. But society shouldn't have to suffer because of their choices.
>>
>>541565658
It's not just cities. My town of 11,000 in the reddest county in the state has a homeless encampment a ways out of town down an abandoned railroad track. I never would have known about it if I hadn't been on the jury in a case where one of the homeless people there attacked another with a machete for fucking his toothless meth addict gf.

All of russia

some of these encampments are fucking huge, at what point it becomes an emergency situation for the city i wonder

>one of the homeless people there attacked another with a machete for fucking his toothless meth addict gf.
kek imagine the all diseases that are blooming there, fucking Anal Black plague UberAIDS
>>
>>541565991
>at what point it becomes an emergency situation for the city

These encampments are no-go zones. Anarchy reigns supreme within their walls. It only becomes a problem for the city when their lawless antics spill over its borders and affect people or businesses caught in the chaos.
>>
>>541565991
What's the emergency tho?
Jews fucking love when this sort of shit happens to goys.

>>
>>541566181
Yes but doesn't work or last. Philly had a sweep of kenso and gave everyone a heads up it was coming to make em leave. Anyone who didn't jail rehab or shipped to pottstown (local dump city).
It's back to gross and dangerous.
They should just do it once a month till it's so much hassle for the bums they don't setup shop so to speak.
>>
That's what's left of your working class
Their livelihoods were destroyed by the big immigration/outsourcing wave 20-30 years ago
If you want to fix this problem you need to bring back well-paid manual labor, i.e. kick out the foreigners and bring manufacturing home
Neither party wants that. The right because of muh profits, the left because of muh immigrants

>They should just do it once a month till it's so much hassle for the bums they don't setup shop so to speak.
I guess its cheaper for the City just to contain it and let it rot
>>
>>541566267
It's more hassle for the legal system to destroy the encampment than it is for the homeless to set up a new one.

They do not want to rehabilitate. They will not change.
>>
The biggest problems these places pose are
>humanitarian concerns
>biological hazards
>chemical hazards
>blind spot to foreign intelligence
There’s plenty of domestic toms, dicks, Harry’s in there. The real stir starts when the foreign nationals want to butt in and see what’s happening.

The humanitarian front is a legal one. Community welfare groups, the police, rackets are all close to airtight. And shit is just plain dangerous. So yeah if your hearts there go into law.

>>541566465
Crazy how many people fought it. I'm sorry I forgot the 12th amendment you know the one about legal to drop needles on sidewalks. I guess I'm the bad guy.

>>541566599
Blind empathy is the destruction of a bleeding heart.
>>
>>541566523
Not to say that blind spots for foreign nationals are inherently a problem, but there is a point where cold wars get hot, the public shouldn’t be collateral damage
>>
>>541566112
a thread without pooplish seethe is a privilige. not a right

Lmao

The dog problem is almost entirely derived from the unwillingness of the American ruling class to get sober. If they spent one week off the goofball tickets it’d be clear some changes are due. To be fair most of them have been put into a pretty damning trance, the rest and the handlers are likely plain evil.
>>
>>541565991
It becomes a problem if enough richfags and tourists start bitching. They send out cops to clear out camps and it's all back up in less than a week.
>>
>>541565601
I would be fine with putting them in government funded multi story soviet bloc style apartment housing somewhere far away from civilization and keeping their drug supply going until they decide to rehabilitate. Thats about the maximum I am willing to go though.
>>
>>541569517
>and keeping their drug supply going
>until they decide to rehabilitate
So, they get free (courtesy of the taxpayer) shelter, resources, and even drugs. All of their needs and wants are met. Why would they decide to change?
>>
>>541569517
California tried this and they became unlivable shitholes within a few months.
