Nietzsche wrote that Christianity is a religion of pity, and that sympathy for the weak is its essential principle. He called this the "highest conceivable form of corruption" (he defines corruption as "when a species loses its instincts, when it prefers what is harmful to it").Left-wing politics is obviously based on pity for the weak. Did they inherit this from Christianity?If Nietzsche is right, the European soul has been subverted for 2000 years and all of our political decadence has been a consequence of that.Was he right?
