since when did elon saying anything matter? it provides zero information about what is actually going to happen. might as well ask an llm.

When the spinning ball-Earth is finally exposed worldwide for the 400+ year deception it was, Earth's entire population will suddenly be faced with the reality that every government, every space agency, university, secret society, religious organization, mainstream and alternative media outlet have ALL been duplicitous in propping up a monstrous manipulation to fleece and control the masses. The resulting mass mental exodus away from the control system is exactly what humanity needs. Once the flat Earth truth gets out, these lying politicians, spokesmen, reporters and teachers suddenly change from being heralded voices of authority to being ridiculed, shunned and denounced as they deserve. Once the flat Earth truth gets out, these governments, universities, media outlets and other entangled organizations which have long been hard at work weaving this multi-generational ball-Earth myth, suddenly and completely lose all credibility. Once the truth of our flat Earth gets out, so does the truth of these few elite families/societies who have kept this most important and fundamental reality from us for these hundreds of years! Essentially, once the flat Earth truth gets out, so does every other important truth by proxy, because this "mother-of-all-conspiracies" holds under its umbrella literally ALL of the other conspiracies, and exposes them.

Why tho?

The logistics of transporting "data centers" into orbit is costly.
All the chips need to be shielded from space radiation.
The chips also need to be "space grade" ECC or higher quality.
There's the power problem, and don't say solar cause that just multiplies every other problem already mentioned.
There's also the cooling. There's nearby towns with vast revivors of cheap water to be stolen.
There is literally no rational benefit to building in space except for "sounds neat and stupid investors will pony up for it"

it's going to fail because of the $100k fee on h1b visa geniuses. watch him cope and actually make this argument.

Isnt a vacuum a giant heat trap? Or are they flying it in low orbit?

That's good. Internet all over for one thing
>>

radiation could likely do it at scale but the energy is the kicker, it makes zero sense even if you assumed you sort heat and so forth out

just having them in antarctica with the exhaust heat creating green houses would be more effective, if you use a nuclear power plant

Israel spams and pays indians to shitpost about Elon Musk HERE on this very board, all the time. This was within 20 minutes on Christmas

Elon is a big reason 4chan has survived this long

It could be a data center in name only. Just enough hardware to do what needs to be done for the space station and maybe some communication with satellites, basically just a localized center to eliminate whatever lag is there, so computations can be done in the space station instead of being done on earth and then sent to space with a delay.

no, he pitches space X as an Ai company

Low IQ response
The ''data center'' in space would be used for AI. There is nothing else that needs that much computing power except shit like video storage.

Jesus Christ, what on earth?

Good luck.
>>
>>541575985
That is absolutely right, your mode of heat transfer is limited to radiation which means you need to be running hot anyways to reach thermal equillibrium and need large fins (satellites have these) in addition to other technologies but the problem is still there. Then there is the energy problem, where will the satellite be getting the high energy needs?

And how will it be cooled, since there's no atmosphere in space to disperse the heat?

No thanks. I don't trust companies run by grifter scumbags like musk. I'd bet $50k they will not put a data center in space next year tho.

Its already going up again. If you are not getting in on this now and holding the next 50 years you are missing out

Musk said we be on Mars last year and we'd have hyperloops zipping us across the country and flying cars and $20k new Tesla EVs and Tesla Semi-trucks and home robots and all sorts of gay vaporware bullshit. Who fucking cares. I hate our meme based economy.

satellites are basically data centers, just small ones. Small computer/big computer going around earth getting energy from solar.

>Based on Astro Digital’s Corvus-Micro bus, the expected mission lifetime is 11 months, after which the satellite will de-orbit from its 325km orbit and burn up.

>Starcloud-1 is primarily a test satellite, but neocloud Crusoe plans to offer "limited" access from early 2027 in a partnership with Starcloud.

>Should the test go as planned, Starcloud hopes to build significantly larger data centers in space, and has pitched deploying a 5GW data center satellite powered by a four sq km solar array.

it's SolarCity 2.0: Fully Automated Luxury Gay Space Communism edition; besides earth isn't large enough to store all of the data centers skynet will need.
