I read a study recently about third world cultures/views and one of the most striking things is the glorification of doing a bad job. Essentially it comes down to the fact that in places like Brazil, India, Mexico, Nigeria, Russia, SEA etc, doing a good job at something is seen as "tryhard" and gay/feminine. Like if you were to actually properly wash and sanitize your workspace before cooking you're basically a weak woman. The idea is to project power, as in "yeah I did it like that, what are you gonna do about it?" and then you get respect from others for your victory. I know you are all familiar with "izzat" but this is actually a common third world view, basically interpreting machismo and power as "I will fuck you over and you deserve it." Very fascinating to observe coming from a high trust society.

>>541588859I am sorry your people view scamming others as virtuous. Mine honor creation and putting something good into the world is seen as praise worthy while being dishonest is frowned upon. Enjoy getting your power by making rice with shit covered hands I guess, my people will literally go to the Moon to earn respect.
Latinos don't do this as they have european values due to spanish culture
>>541588660Pretty sure its just an indian thing. Most other poors seem to feel a need to not do that so they can save face.
