When we start saying goodbye after a visit, she starts asking if we don't want to eat something (again), and insisting until we finally say our goodbyes and go to the car. Then she comes running from inside to tap the window. We open worried about what's so urgent. She throws us a banana inside "for the road".

>>541598332There is no one correct answer. The details matter. If they have cooked a proper meal, then its unreasonable to be expected to join them to eat, they made a set amount for the family, not some random extra. However if they they are just putting on some oven chips and waffles, and they knew you would be there beforehand, its not a big deal to put in an extra waffle and a few chips for you.
