This will occur next year since that's about the upper limit the system can take under current conditions, unless this all somehow resolves itself which is increasingly looking like it won't happen. Problem there is you're unleashing reverse engineered ayyy tech globally onto a planet that's as destabilized as it is now. You don't need to be psychic to see there's maybe some problems arising from that. Basically 2027 will be what everyone thought 2020 would end up being.
