The entire internet is split in half by two opposing forces: 4chan and tumblr. Every website leans towards one of these. It doesn't matter that neither this place nor tumblr aren't relevant anymore, the vibes these two sites created continue to influence the internet, almost like they are egregores, metaphysical forces that exist in a different realm. I'm sure you were able to immediately identify in your mind which sites belong to which side. On the 4chan side you have ifunny, post-Elon twitter, kiwifarms, rpgcodex, etc. On the tumblr side you have reddit, pre-Elon twitter, bluesky, somethingawful, etc. There are a few wildcards like youtube which seems to switch sides (pre-2017 it was more 4chan, post-2017 it swung hard towards tumblr, now it's kind of split in half but still leaning more towards tumblr), and instagram which leans more 4chan in the reels section but more tumblr in niche meme accounts, but all in all, this is a consistent pattern across the internet. I can't be the only one who's noticed this, right?
