The one connecting "Ash Shishah" to the mainland of Oman?
The narrowest point is only 710 feet wide, and 343 feet high.
Corinth Canal is almost 4 miles.

Close up.
For an absolute monarchy with infiniwealth, why can't they blast through that, then dredge channel through it that extends west and east bypassing most of Hormuz?

Because they aren’t getting hit on a thing flat line starting at the tip of the isthmus. They are getting hit throughout the entire persian gulf. That’s the nature of a contested body of water in any state of war. no matter how closely they hug the coast, a drone or rocket could still get them.

pic related.
If it's worth dredging that channel, why not blast and dredge one further south, with more mountain cover?

The isthmus of Corinth is 300 feet high in some places, and 4 miles long.
